Resident Advisers

Housing and Residential Experience values the many ways our student staff are involved across campus. We know you鈥檙e balancing academics, employment, and other commitments, and we鈥檙e here to support your success and well-being.

We encourage all Resident Advisers (RAs) and Head Resident Advisers (HRAs) to be thoughtful about their time and commitments so they can thrive in each area. While we celebrate your involvement, student staff roles are an important responsibility, and we expect them to be prioritized after your academic commitments.

2026-2027 Mandatory Dates

These dates are tentative until the 2026鈥�2027 academic calendar is finalized, but they fall within the typical timeframe for fall training and move-in. Applicants should communicate these dates early with summer employers, internship sites, or other commitments to ensure availability.

Housing and Residential Experience may adjust required dates, responsibilities, or compensation based on departmental and university operational changes. Any changes will be communicated to the 2026鈥�2027 RA/HRA team, along with available options.

  • Fall 2026 Semester
    • First-Year Move-In: Aug. 22
    • Winter Break Closing: Dec. 1 - Dec. 20
  • Spring 2027 Semester
