    • Sunday, August 23: Upper-division residence halls open
      • Continuing students must ensure summer leases/sublets extend through Aug. 23; early move-in is not available

    • Saturday, November 21, 9 a.m.: Residence halls close for Thanksgiving Break
    • Sunday, November 29, 9 a.m.: Residence halls reopen after Thanksgiving Break
    • Sunday, December 20, 9 a.m.: Residence halls close for Winter Break
      • All residence halls and Greek houses are considered closed during the winter break period and students are expected to depart campus.
  • Thanksgiving Break

    • Saturday, November 21, 9 a.m.: Residence halls close
    • Sunday, November 29, 9 a.m.: Residence halls reopen

    Registration

    • All on-campus residents may register with Housing to remain in their residence hall or Greek house for any portion of Thanksgiving Break at no additional cost.
    • Sunday, November 1, 8 a.m.: Registration opens in the Housing Portal
    • Sunday, November 15, 5 p.m.: Registration deadline
  • Winter Break

    Dates

    • Sundays, December 20, 9 a.m.: Residence halls close for Winter Break
    • Friday, January 8, 9 a.m.: Residence halls reopen for the Spring 2027 semester

    General Information

    • Residence halls and Greek houses close during Winter Break; students are expected to depart.
    • A limited number of students may remain on campus for the following reasons:
      • International travel constraints
      • Verifiable employment or research
      • University athletic commitments
      • Housing insecurity
      • Other extreme circumstances

    Eligibility

    • Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate living on campus in Nashville for both fall and spring semesters.
    • Not eligible if graduating in December, on leave/suspension, or participating in study abroad or internships.
    • Students residing in Davidson, Robertson, Sumner, Wilson, Rutherford, Williamson, or Cheatham counties are not typically eligible.
