Memberships

Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students enrolled in coursework for a grade receive automatic access to the Recreation and Wellness Center.聽Those in the 91吃瓜网 community who do not receive automatic access, including graduate and professional students enrolled in online or remote programs, are welcome to purchase a membership.

We offer a wide range of membership options to help our 91吃瓜网 community stay fit and healthy.聽

Memberships must be purchased in person prior to facility use.聽

Membership Eligibility Options

  • General Membership

    Membership is available to:

    • Current 91吃瓜网 employees (faculty, staff, and postdocs)
    • Current university interns and scholars
    • University recognized retired emeriti faculty
    • Current 91吃瓜网 Medical Center employees
  • University Plus 1 Membership Benefit

    University employees, current university interns and scholars, and retired emeriti faculty may add one (1) Plus 1 member to their membership as a benefit of maintaining an active Vandy Rec membership.

    Plus 1 members must:

    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Reside in the same household as the sponsoring member
      • To verify residency, both the sponsoring member and the Plus 1 member must schedule an appointment with recmemberservices@vanderbilt.edu and provide acceptable residency documentation as outlined by the Membership Team.

    Plus 1 memberships remain dependent upon the sponsoring member鈥檚 active Vandy Rec membership status and cannot continue independently if the sponsoring member鈥檚 membership ends.

  • Student Spouse Membership

    Current 91吃瓜网 student spouses are eligible to become Rec members. To access this benefit, student spouses must comply with all policies outlined in the .

    The enrolled 91吃瓜网 student and their spouse must obtain a valid Family Identification Card from 91吃瓜网 Card Services to verify relationship status before purchasing a membership. At the verification meeting with Rec staff at the Welcome Desk, the student spouse must also present their 91吃瓜网 ID.

    Membership eligibility is contingent on the 91吃瓜网 student remaining actively enrolled in classes.

Membership Policies

  • General Use
    • Memberships must be purchased in person using a debit or credit card only.
    • All memberships are non-refundable.
    • Membership fees will not be reimbursed or prorated for closures or changes in operations (e.g., summer semester, university holidays, construction, maintenance, breaks, or other necessary events).
    • Memberships are assigned to a specific individual and are not transferable.
  • Guest Policy

    Guests are not permitted access to Rec facilities during normal operations. Families and friends are welcome to use the Rec only during designated university events (fall move-in, family weekend, homecoming, fall move-out, spring move-in, commencement, and spring move-out). All guests must complete a liability waiver before entry, and any child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent at all times.

  • Minors Under the Age of 18

    At this time, children under the age of 18 are not allowed in the facility except to attend university events open to the public or participate in university approved youth programs.
