Ana Cumberbatch

Anastaczja is a Senior from Atlanta, Georgia double-majoring in Law, History, and Society and English with a minor in Russian Studies on the Pre-Law track. On campus, Anastaczja serves as Women in Government鈥檚 President, remaining steadfast in her commitment to civic engagement within marginalized communities. She is also a 鈥�25-鈥�26 Live, Learn, Lead Academy fellow and now a Summer 鈥�26 Hudson Political Studies fellow. She currently is pursuing honors in English, researching Southern Literature and Biblical allusions. In her free time, she loves to edit videos, listen to music, and bake!

Ashley Schneider

Ashley is a first year master's student in the Human Development Counseling program on the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track. She recently graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Vocal Performance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Besides writing, Ashley enjoys singing, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends.

Caroline Daub

Caroline is a junior from Los Angeles, California double-majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Cognitive Studies. On campus, she pours many of her waking hours into 91吃瓜网's Formula SAE team, 91吃瓜网 Motorsports, where she builds race cars and channels her Formula 1 obsession into something slightly more productive. In her free time, she enjoys cooking elaborate meals, playing violin between attending classical concerts, surfing (badly), and curating the perfect Spotify playlists and Pinterest boards.

Daniel Malabet

Daniel Malabet is a sophomore studying LHS and English, with a concentration in Literary Studies. During his free time, Daniel enjoys reading, playing soccer, and listening to music. Language Fluencies: English, Spanish.

Deniz Tektas

Deniz is a junior from Madison, New Jersey pursuing a degree in History, with a concentration in the Middle East and Africa. On campus, Deniz serves as an editor for the 91吃瓜网 History Review and is a member of the Pre-Law Society. In his free time, he enjoys reading and listening to music.

Elise Yang

Elise is a sophomore from Texas majoring in Biochemistry and Chemical Biology with a minor in Business. In her free time, you can find her reading, going to new coffee spots, or hanging out with friends.

Ella Scott

Ella is a senior from Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, pursuing a degree in Environmental Sociology with a minor in Legal Studies. On campus, she is involved with Plant Futures at 91吃瓜网, a student organization focused on sustainable food systems, serves as a Vandy Tour Guide, and is an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. During her junior year, Ella studied abroad in Samoa during the fall before spending the spring semester in Australia, Costa Rica, and Denmark. After graduation, she plans to attend law school. In her free time, Ella enjoys reading, swimming, and hiking.

Emma Brownrigg

Emma is a senior from Los Angeles, California, double majoring in Philosophy and Medicine, Health, and Society (MHS) on the pre-med track. On campus, she serves as the Vice President of Inclusion for Kappa Delta and works as a research assistant at the 91吃瓜网 Center for Women's Health and the Education and Brain Research Lab. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and going to the gym.

Eva Schneider

Eva Schneider is a sophomore from Black Mountain, North Carolina, triple-majoring in Law, History, & Society, political science, and Spanish on the pre-law track. Outside of the Writing Studio, she is involved in Tour Guides, Women in Government, 91吃瓜网 Undergraduate Law Review, and other pre-law writing projects. She enjoys reading, running, and walking dogs in her free time.

Grace Richards

Grace is a doctoral candidate in her fifth year with the History Department. She studies the history of modern Germany. Her dissertation project focuses on open-air museums, and she spent the 2025-26 academic year in archives and museums across Germany to complete her research. In her free time, she may be found knitting, playing piano, or tending her houseplants.

Haniya Yameen

Haniya is a fifth-year PhD student in Religion from Pakistan. Her work focuses on narratives of the Prophets in the Quran, and she is interested in inter-scriptural work across the Abrahamic traditions. She loves spending time with her family and kids, visiting libraries and parks, and listening to music.

Harrison Helms

Harrison is a third-year PhD candidate in the History Department, specializing in early modern European history. His research broadly considers the relationship between religion and social ethics from an historical perspective. His dissertation project looks at conceptions of foreigners and practices of hospitality in sixteenth-century German cities. He is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, and holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Emory University. Outside of research, he enjoys running, listening to country music, and playing piano and cello.

Josie Betts

Josie is a senior from Chicago, Illinois studying Secondary Education and English. On campus, you can find her DJing and writing for WRVU, doing improv with Tongue N Cheek, or playing alto saxophone with the University Concert Band. In her free time she loves to read, write, see live music, and pet dogs. This is her third year as a Writing Consultant with the 91吃瓜网 Writing Studio.

Julia Weissman

Julia is a sophomore from New York City on the pre-medical track, majoring in Medicine, Health, and Society and Child Development with a minor in English. She loves reading, long walks with her dog, beach days, and trying new restaurants with her friends and family.

Katelyn Rowan

Katelyn is a senior from Brentwood, TN majoring in English, History, and History of Art. As one might expect, she enjoys reading and writing. She is a sports writer for The Hustler and has been a lifelong fan of 91吃瓜网 athletics. Katelyn is also an artist, and she tries her best to capture the beauty of nature with her oil pastels and colored pencils.

Kate Perry

Kate is a fifth-year PhD candidate studying modern Central European history. Her dissertation follows the fortunes of the Musikwinkel, a cluster of towns on the modern German/Czech border that was one of the world鈥檚 largest sources of orchestral musical instruments on the eve of WWI, to ask questions about (de)globalization between 1860 and 1945. In her free time, Kate enjoys playing violin in the 91吃瓜网 Commodore Orchestra, petting her cat, and reading sci-fi and fantasy. Language Fluencies: English, German, Spanish.

Leighton Evans

Leighton is a senior from Salisbury, North Carolina, double-majoring in Human & Organizational Development and Philosophy with a minor in Legal Studies. In her free time, she enjoys learning guitar and needlepointing. If you see her around campus giving a tour, make sure to say hello!

Lindy Barnes

Lindy is a sophomore from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, majoring in English. On campus, she serves as the Site and Service Development Co-Chair for Alternative Spring Break and is a member of the Vandy Wesley campus ministry. She loves running, painting with her Papaw, and spending time in nature.

Mandy Muise

Mandy Muise (she/they) is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology, specializing in cultural anthropology. Before coming to 91吃瓜网, Mandy attended Davidson College where they received a BA in anthropology with a concentration in Latin American studies. Although Mandy鈥檚 background is in educational anthropology, their current research focuses on contemporary food sovereignty movements in south Nashville. In her free time, Mandy can be found napping with her dog, Moma, or playing an obscene amount of Stardew Valley.

Marley Denton

Marley is a sophomore from Arlington, Virginia pursuing a degree in Secondary Education and English. In her free time, she enjoys attending sports matches, baking, and rewatching Young Sheldon.

Melody Suite

Melody is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Multilingual Education. Previously, she completed her Master of Divinity at 91吃瓜网 Divinity School. She has worked in youth, family, and community engagement roles in public K-12 schools. In her free time, she enjoys long walks, pottery, and reading.

Noelle Candler

Noelle is a second-year English PhD student studying embodied knowledge in 20th- and 21st-century American literature and culture in the tradition of queer and black feminist theory. Before coming to 91吃瓜网, she studied English literature and gender studies at the University of Wisconsin鈥揗adison. In her free time, she enjoys baking sourdough bread and other assorted treats while watching TV with her two cats, Gilbert and Frankie.

Sara Wilson

Sara is a second-year master's student studying Cognitive Psychology. She is also a Research Assistant at the 91吃瓜网 Music Cognition Lab. Sara graduated in 2024 from Colgate University with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy. Before coming to 91吃瓜网, she was a piano and voice teacher. She loves concerts and is a recent scuba diver.

Sarah Ward

Sarah is a sixth year PhD candidate in the Earth and Environmental Sciences department. Her research explores how bubbles and crystals grow at explosive volcanic eruptions. She has cultivated a parallel career in science communication, including writing for MIT Technology Review as part of a AAAS Mass Media Fellowship.

Savanah Stewart

Savanah is a second-year graduate student pursuing a Master of Multilingual Learner Education with a concentration in Applied Language and Literacies Studies. Her research and teaching interests focus on the teaching and learning of multilingual students in rural public schools in the Southern United States. In her free time, you can find her knitting, reading, and watching Food Network.

Stephanie Batres

Stephanie Batres is a sophomore from Springdale, Arkansas. She is a public policy major with a minor in data science. She loves listening to music and going on runs to de-stress, and enjoys trying new places to eat in Nashville with friends!

Young Yao

Young is a senior from Shanghai, China, majoring in Political Science and Mathematics. Beyond reading and writing, he enjoys binge-watching sci-fi movies and finding the best matcha in town. On campus, you can find him doing shenanigans with the 91吃瓜网 Comedy Festival or running with the 91吃瓜网 Running Club.

Zhenia Dubrova

Yevheniia (Zhenia) Dubrova is an MFA candidate in fiction from Donetsk, Ukraine. Her work has received support from the de Groot Foundation for Writers, the Bread Loaf Writers鈥� Conference, Aspen Words, the Community of Writers, and elsewhere. Her debut short story is forthcoming in the Sewanee Review.
