Program Overview
The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Institute for Surgery and Engineering strives to foster a diverse interdisciplinary community poised to address the most pressing challenges in procedural medicine.ÌýTo further this goal, VISE has established anÌýIndustry Affiliates Program (IAP)ÌýtoÌýexpand our community and build vitalÌýcollaborativeÌýpartnerships with MedTech and related industries.ÌýAs theÌýfieldsÌýofÌýsurgeryÌýandÌýinterventionÌýtransform,ÌýmodernÌýchallenges require more innovative,Ìýinterconnected, interdisciplinaryÌýsolutionsÌýthat incorporateÌýclinical, engineering, and industryÌýexpertise.ÌýAt VISE, researchersÌýdevelopÌýtheÌýtechnical and interpersonalÌýskills to implementÌýtheseÌýefficient, cost-effective,Ìýdata-enabledÌýsolutions tailoredÌýto patient-specific treatment, as well as theÌýability to work across disciplines to seeÌýtheseÌýprojectsÌýtoÌýthe finish line.Ìý
The IAP invites industry partners to join the VISE communityÌýin developing these paradigm-shifting solutionsÌýtoday and training the surgical and interventional engineers of tomorrow.ÌýFundsÌýfromÌýIAPÌýpartnershipÌýwill support students, faculty, and laboratory infrastructure through specialized equipment, pilot funding for projects, andÌýimmersiveÌýeducationalÌýexperiences.ÌýAsÌýpart of the IAP, partnersÌýgain access toÌýstate-of-the-artÌýresearch updates, opportunities to shape educational programming,ÌýandÌýnetworking with affiliates and graduatesÌýthrough mentoring events and partner technology showcases.Ìý
