Overview
Daniel Woods is a native Tennessean and fourth-year biomedical engineering graduate student in the Gonzales Lab. He develops high-density flexible neural interfaces for electrophysiology in behaving nonhuman primates, bridging microfabrication, electronics, and systems neuroscience to explore working memory circuits. Inspired by the early exposure to science that shaped his own path, he is passionate about introducing young folks to reearch. Outside the lab, Daniel enjoys cycling, watching nature documentaries about apes, and telling everyone to switch to a dumbphone.
