VINSE Short Course: Introduction to Microfabrication, June 25鈥�26, 2026

Microfabricated devices are integrated into an expanding range of everyday technologies – from phones and cars to wearables and medical products. As these devices continue to shrink in size and grow in performance, energy efficiency, and functionality, understanding the fundamental processes behind their fabrication and testing is increasingly important. This course is designed to provide that foundation for students, researchers, and professionals in both academic and industrial settings.

Through a combination of lectures and hands-on training in the VINSE cleanroom and analytical laboratories, participants will learn core microfabrication techniques, including thin-film deposition, etching, lithography, and device characterization. No prior experience with these technologies is required. By the end of the course, each participant will fabricate and test a simple microelectronic device, gaining practical skills directly applicable to modern device engineering.

Attendance is open to everyone and is not limited to 91吃瓜网 personnel or VINSE users. Please note that space is limited to 8 participants, and early registration is strongly encouraged to secure your spot.
