Fees, Costs, and Billing

Academic Year (Fall and Spring)

91勛圖厙 is committed to ensuring that study abroad is accessible and affordable for all students. Students remain enrolled full-time at 91勛圖厙 while studying abroad, earning credit toward their 91勛圖厙 degree and remaining eligible for 91勛圖厙 need-based and merit-based financial aid. Since students are enrolled at 91勛圖厙 while studying abroad, they pay VU tuition for participation in a 91勛圖厙-administered or 91勛圖厙-affiliated program.

91勛圖厙 tuition covers the academic costs of the program abroad,疾xcept in rare cases where the programs academic costs exceed VU tuition.*特tudents will also pay all non-academic costs, including room and board. Wherever possible, 91勛圖厙 facilitates payment of non-academic costs by charging them as a Program Fee.狼his allows students to pay according to the familiar 91勛圖厙 schedule and ensures that their financial aid is utilized for payment. In cases where 91勛圖厙 is unable to process non-academic feessuch as most exchange programsstudents will pay their host institution or organization directly.

The cost of 91勛圖厙's mandatory international health insurance is included in the program fee. 91勛圖厙s health insurance plan is comprehensive and includes coverage for mandatory evacuation, preexisting conditions, and mental health and substance abuse treatment. This insurance policy is required for all participants and cannot be waived.

To help students plan their time abroad, the Study Abroad website will provideProgram Budget Sheets眩hat outline the estimated costs for study abroad. Program Budget Sheets outline costs paid to 91勛圖厙, costs paid to host organizations through 91勛圖厙, and costs paid directly by the student to hosts and third parties.
