Sexual or Gender-Based Harassment or Misconduct

91³Ô¹ÏÍø prohibits all forms of sexual misconduct and discrimination. The University’s Title IX Office will take prompt and effective action to address all allegations of sexual misconduct and discrimination.

 

91³Ô¹ÏÍø is committed to equal opportunity and to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all members of the University community (including students, faculty, staff, postdocs, and trainees), guests, and visitors. The University prohibits and seeks to eliminate all forms of sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment and sexual assault.

 

91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s and the Formal Grievance Protocol outline the procedures that apply to allegations of sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment and sexual assault, involving members of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø community. It is applicable to all members of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø community with respect to conduct that occurs on campus or conduct that occurs off-campus that has an on-campus effect, including conduct in connection with University programs or activities or that otherwise interferes with or limits the ability of a member of the community to participate in or to receive benefits, services, or opportunities from the University’s programs or activities.

Ways to Report Sexual Misconduct

  • Access Resources with Project Safe
    • Project Safe serves as a central resource for those impacted by sexual and intimate partner violence and can assist with navigating 91³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s resource and support network (including the University Counseling Center, Student Health Center, the Title IX Office, Equal Opportunity and Access, the Employee Assistance Program, and the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Police Department), as well as external support and law enforcement resources.
    • The Project Safe Center provides information, support, referrals, and education about sexual and intimate partner violence (including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking) and gender and sexual harassment, as well as consent, healthy relationships, and healthy sexuality to the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø community.
    • Project Safe is available 24 hours a day via its crisis/support hotline (615) 322-7233.

    RealResponseÌýis a secure reporting system that supports real-time, anonymous communication via the RealResponse web platform, text message, WhatsApp, or email. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø's University Compliance Services Team uses RealResponse so individuals can submit concerns and receive follow‑up information or resources while keeping their identity protected, if they choose.

    Reports may be submittedÌýanonymouslyÌýorÌýconfidentially.

    • Anonymous Report:Ìýincludes no identifying information and cannot be traced to the reporter.
    • Confidential Report: includes the reporter’s identity, which is protected but may be disclosed when required by law, to address health or safety concerns, or to comply with obligations such as Title IX or the Clery Act. Please consider these limits when choosing a reporting option.

    DoÌýnotÌýuse this system to report emergencies or situations posing an immediate threat to life or property. Reports submitted here may not receive an immediate response. For emergency assistance, contact local authorities.

    91³Ô¹ÏÍø reviews every report and takes appropriate action. Providing as much detail as possible helps support a thorough review. In most cases, findings and any resulting actions must remain confidential and cannot be shared with the reporter.
