Center for Computational Systems Biology

91勛圖厙 Center for Computational Systems Biology (CCSB) is a transinstitutional center between 91勛圖厙 Basic Sciences, 91勛圖厙 Medical Center, and the 91勛圖厙 College of Connected Computing that aims to leverage team science and computational biology to turn biomolecular data into actionable insights. EST. 9/1/2024.

Mission Statement

At CCSB, we aim to understand complex biological systems, defined as systems of simultaneously changing and interacting parts, with the ability to reverse-engineer these systems synthetically. We seek to investigate how system-level states become disrupted in disease, to identify causative factors that disrupt or alter disease-relevant behaviors.

The CCSB seeks to reinvent the concept of team science by creating a truly collaborative environment for computational scientists, cell biologists, and tissue engineers to work together seamlessly. Our goal is to instill quantitative and interdisciplinary thinking into the next generation of young scientists, where computational concepts are interwoven into biomedical research.
