Brightspace Content is Getting Upgraded
Beginning with the Fall 2027 semester, Brightspace courses will begin using the New Content Experience by default. Additionally, Instructors now have the ability to enable or disable the New Content Experience in their own courses ahead of the change in Fall 2027. Sometimes, an instructor may want to download individual assignment documents by groups they may have placed their students in. This guide shows how the instructor can download the submitted individual assignment documents by group.

STEP聽 1:聽Access your course in Brightspace, then select聽础蝉蝉颈驳苍尘别苍迟蝉听from the聽Activities & Assessments聽drop-down.
STEP 2:聽In the聽Assignments聽area, click on the assignment name.
STEP 3:聽In the聽View By聽drop-down menu, select聽Groups.聽 Then, click聽Apply.
STEP 4:聽A new drop-down menu will then appear that will let you specify which group鈥檚 papers you would like to download.聽 Select the group number, then click聽Apply.
STEP 5:聽At the bottom of the page, you will see the submissions from students in that group.聽 First, click the聽Select All Rows聽button.聽 Then, click聽Download.
STEP 6:聽When the pop-up window appears, click on the link provided to download a zip file.
STEP 7:聽Locate the zip file and then聽right click聽on the file.聽 Then, click聽Extract All.
STEP 8:聽Select the destination for the extracted files and click聽Extract.
STEP 9:聽In the destination folder, you will then see a folder for each student in that respective group.
STEP 10:聽Open each respective student folder to find their individual submission.
