Brightspace Content is Getting Upgraded
Beginning with the Fall 2027 semester, Brightspace courses will begin using the New Content Experience by default. Additionally, Instructors now have the ability to enable or disable the New Content Experience in their own courses ahead of the change in Fall 2027. 罢丑别听Accommodations tool聽provides the option to grant a student additional time for all existing and future quizzes. Using this tool will apply the accommodation to聽all of that student鈥檚 quizzes聽in the course.
Brightspace also enables you to聽allow accommodations for聽individual听辩耻颈锄锄别蝉聽using the聽Special Access聽tool. You can also聽individualize due dates and times on individual assignments.

Provide Quiz Accommodations to a Student
1. Go to the聽Classlist听迟补产
2. Select the dropdown arrow next to a student鈥檚 name and choose聽Edit Accommodations
3. Choose the accommodations settings appropriate for the student. You can enter a multiplier or a set number of minutes.
4. 颁濒颈肠办听Save.
5. Once a student has quiz accommodations assigned to them, you will see an聽
聽icon next to their name in the聽Classlist.
View Students with Accommodations
- Go to the聽Classlist
- 颁濒颈肠办听Show Search Options to expand your search
- Check the box for聽Users with Accommodations
- Leave the search field empty and click the Search icon聽
