\nMultimodal imaging of human brain activity<\/p>\n
\nFunctional MRI is a powerful and non-invasive technology for investigating human brain activity. However, fMRI provides an indirect measure of brain activity, and the sources contributing to fMRI signal fluctuations are not fully understood. We will discuss how combining fMRI with complementary neural\/physiological measures (such as EEG) can help to resolve fMRI signal sources and their underlying dynamics, and provide greater information about brain function.<\/p>\n
\nCatie Chang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Department of Biomedical Engineering at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø. Her research focuses on signal processing and computational approaches for analyzing functional neuroimaging data. Before joining 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, she was a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, in the NIH Intramural Research Program. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in the Radiological Sciences Lab, following undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
