Speaker Bios:<\/b><\/span>
\nDr. Smita De<\/b><\/span> is currently the VISE fellow and a clinical instructor in Urologic Surgery at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø. She was accepted to the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Washington during which she received her M.D. and Ph.D. in Bioengineering as well as a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award.\u00a0 She subsequently completed a residency in Urology at Stanford University and spent a year with the R&D department at Intuitive Surgical, Inc.\u00a0 Her research focuses on the development and improvement of surgical devices and technologies for Urologists.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ryan Hsi <\/b><\/span>(pronounced SEE) graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School and completed urology residency at the University of Washington.\u00a0 He completed his fellowship in laparoscopy and endourology at UC San Francisco.\u00a0 He has been on faculty here with the Department of Urologic Surgery since August 2016 as an Assistant Professor.\u00a0 His clinical practice covers benign and malignant upper urinary tract disease with a focus on complex kidney stone prevention and surgical treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
