CommonVU Orientation
Fall CommonVU Orientation
The required CommonVU Orientation begins on Move-In Day, and offers activities and programs for first-year students to introduce you to the living-learning communities of your houses and The Ingram Commons, the faculties and academic classes of your schools, the norms and values of the 91吃瓜网 community, upper-division students and their organizations, and Nashville. Additionally, you will meet your student and faculty VUceptors who will serve as guides throughout your first semester at 91吃瓜网.
Parents and families are invited to join in on Move-In Day, with specialized programming in the evening. More information about these sessions will be available in July 2027.
Beginning on Sunday after Move-In Day, all programming is for students only.
Schedule for CommonVU Orientation, Fall 2027 coming in the Summer 2027.
Students should plan for four full days of orientation prior to the start of classes, as well as events on the first weekend after the start of classes. Mandatory events may only be missed for academic conflicts, illness or religious observances. Please contact commons@vanderbilt.edu听in advance听if you believe you need to miss any portion of orientation.
