A person has a right under 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s policies to engage in Protected Activity without suffering retaliation of any kind.
Protected Activity includes reporting (internally or externally) or inquiring, in good faith, about suspected discrimination or discriminatory harassment, assisting others in reporting or inquiring, in good faith, about suspected discrimination or discriminatory harassment, participating in an investigation or proceeding related to suspected discrimination or discriminatory harassment, participating in proceedings or investigations conducted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or equivalent state agencies, requesting accommodations, reporting safety issues, discussing wages, and complaining about illegal practices.
Retaliation includes action threatened or taken, directly or through others, intended to deter a person from engaging in Protected Activity or done in retribution for engaging in Protected Activity. Retaliation occurs when an employer takes negative action, like firing, demoting, or harassing an employee, for engaging in legally protected activities in any of the legally Protected Activities listed above.
