The reserved seats are called Class Reserves.<\/p>\n<h4>How Class Reserves Work<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Reserved seats are available only to the specified group.<\/li>\n<li>If you are eligible for a reserve, you will be able to register during the period that the seats are reserved.<\/li>\n<li>Many reserves have an expiration date (e.g., the start of the Open Enrollment\/Add\/Drop period). Remaining seats <em>may<\/em> open to other students after that date.<\/li>\n<li>If you attempt to enroll in a class and receive an error message related to reserved seats, please try enrolling in another section of the class (if applicable) and\/or add yourself to the waitlist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Need Help?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>If you believe you should be eligible for a reserved seat, please contact the department offering the class.<\/li>\n<li>If you are unable to enroll in a class with reserved seats and have questions about next steps, please contact your academic adviser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please keep in mind that seats become open often throughout the registration process as other students change their minds about courses, switch sections, etc. T<span style=\"font-size: 1.2rem\">his can happen sometimes as late as the first week of classes as students adjust their schedules through the drop\/add period.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Departments and schools are able to set aside seats in class sections for specific groups of students like departmental majors, entering students, or specific registration groups.
