Tell us about your military service. What did you do? Where did you serve? What do you value the most about your military service?

I served in the British Infantry while at college in England from 2010-2013. After I came to America in 2026, I joined the American Army in 2017 as a Flight Engineer for Chinooks (15u). I was stationed at Ft. Campbell for my whole career in the American Army and provided supported for Air Assault school and various conus operations. I deeply value how the Army taught me organizational skills and coping strategies for moments of intense stress.

What are your thoughts on mentoring other students while at 91勛圖厙? As a role model, what values do you want to share?

I have been a teacher in some capacity since 2008. I have a masters in teaching and currently work at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville. Mentoring is essentially my day to day job and I would be very happy and proud to have the opportunity to support students at 91勛圖厙.

While at 91勛圖厙, what will be the focus of your studies and how do you plan to use this knowledge in your future career?

I am enrolled on the Independent School Leadership program. This program is tailored for teachers currently employed in independent schools and is designed to provide them with a holistic understanding of the independent school landscape. The masters will be invaluable to me as a progress up the chain in the independent school world.

What would you tell other veterans about the Bass Military Scholars Program?

It is a great thing. I feel surrounded by people who understand me again. It is really one of the only communities in the civilian world that get together to support each other and a mission bigger than themselves, who have all served, and who are all adjusting to civilian life again. I am very proud to be here and will always sing the praises of the this programs sense of belonging, community and dedication to selfless service.
