Alumni affinity groups provide an opportunity for 91吃瓜网 affinity communities and supporters to connect with each other and the university. 91吃瓜网 currently serves four alumni affinity associations: AVBA - Association of 91吃瓜网 Black Alumni, AAVA - APIDA Association of 91吃瓜网 Alumni, LAVA - LGBTQIA+ Association of 91吃瓜网 Alumni, and VAHLA - 91吃瓜网 Association of Hispanic and Latinx Alumni. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the Houston Multicultural Mixer preceded the Houston Commodore Launch, where alumni, current students, incoming students and families connect with the VU community before the semester begins.听

This was the inaugural Multicultural Mixer outside of Nashville, with AAVA, AVBA, LAVA and VAHLA joining together to welcome incoming students!听
